Let's Agree to Disagree

OK. So, as someone on the left side of the aisle, you disagree with virtually everything those on the right stand for. But, have you ever wondered how they arrived at the positions you adamantly oppose? Perhaps if you knew more about their reasoning, you might see why their positions would make sense from their perspective. Knowing that, you may even be open to engaging them in an effort to find common ground.

Wait! Before you you start rolling your eyes, consider this: On September 25, Braver Angels will coordinate this event which brings together the Oakmont Democratic Alliance and the Conservatives Club of Oakmont to learn how to communicate with those of differing political views. Consider it an opportunity to acquire some new communications skills, and to meet and engage in some stimulating conversation with your neighbors on the right.
